Airkoe was founded in 2001 by Henk Dijkstra and Peter Groeneveld. At the time, they were both active in the dairy farming sector and foresaw a radical change in the ventilation of livestock buildings. Originally, livestock buildings were equipped with a small ventilation valve and a ridge that was very often no wider than 15cm. However, at the end of the 90s, the idea was born to accommodate the cows in a much more airy and brighter environment.
